Culinary stories
Do you have a long OR SHORT, sweet, Intriguing, boring Story to share? Culinary tips? Delicious recipes, darling?
Pitch us.
If we are a match, we will interview you, or if you prefer, you can write for us. Slide into our DMs below. At the moment, we do not accept weight loss stories or share stories encouraging people to participate in diet culture. While we do talk about cautionary tales, we try to stray away from weight loss discussions. There are enough places covering those kinds of stories.
Sorry, not sorry.

Testimonials

I've worked hand in hand with Running Fat Chef over the years, first encountering [Latoya] at one of her many races, and later as I was in the retail side of the fitness industry. My favorite interaction was a fitness boot camp event that my establishment was having during a campaign for Hoka. There's not a more genuine individual in the fitness community who uses their platform and life for the improvement of all they come in contact with. She'll be your biggest fan, greatest supporter and cherished friend.

Latoya is an absolute gem of a human and an incredibly inspiring athlete. She has inspired me to continue running and working out, even on the hardest days. She is candid about all of the realities of running (bloody nipples, weird feet injuries, pooping ones pants, period blood, questionable rashes from chafing). These stories are so reassuring to hear because no one else in the fitness world speaks so openly about these things!

Some days you feel very alone in a running journey as someone average. Having someone genuine pop up in your feed and help you strengthen your soul not just your body has been a saving grace to me. Some days it’s see king her smile, some days it’s knowing you are not alone in just wanting to be awesome in your world - Latoya does just gives you that world “in feed” and with food. ❤️

meet the founder
Latoya Shauntay Snell is the powerhouse behind Running Fat Chef—a movement dedicated to making fitness and wellness inclusive, accessible, and real. What started as a personal journey to navigate life’s physical, mental, and emotional hurdles quickly became a platform for connection, conversation, and change.
After sharing her story online—from her early social posts to her globally-read blog—Latoya turned one marathon incident, where she was harassed for her pace, into a full-blown remix of her life: traveling athlete, influencer, freelance writer, and unapologetic disruptor of expectations. Through it all, she’s championed authenticity as a Black, plus-size, queer athlete managing chronic illness, proving that the wellness world is bigger than stereotypes.
With over a decade of culinary expertise, experience in human services, and motivational speaking, Latoya has reimagined Running Fat Chef as more than a blog. It’s a safe space for storytellers, a stage for marginalized voices, and a platform shaking up the fitness industry—one inclusive, boundary-breaking story at a time.
